Hi! I'm Brooke!
Counseling is a second career for me as I served in the military and have work experience in marketing. I have a passion for supporting individuals, marriages, and families in discovering their strengths and becoming empowered towards their goals. I work with a diverse population of clients and create a treatment plan based on individual needs, values, and goals.
I am a neurodivergent affirming therapist with personal and professional experience helping this population identify and utilize their strengths to meet their goals. As a parent of an autistic teenager, I have an understanding of how to navigate this unique experience. I am also trained with Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA).
With over 11 years of experience working with children and their families, I am also trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT), a modality used for clients ages 3-18 who have experienced trauma. I work to create a partnership between parents/caregivers and their child by teaching evidenced-based strategies to use at home.
I work with couples to improve their relationships by improving communication and building strategies that unify the relationship towards common goals. I am SYMBIS certified (Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts), a program designed for pre-marital counseling.
I offer Christian counseling to clients who wish to incorporate their Biblical values as part of the therapeutic process.
I have a bachelor's degree in Business Administration (Longwood University), a master's degree in Marketing (University of South Florida), and a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (Liberty University). In addition, I was trained as an Intelligence Analyst in the Army National Guard.
