Why should I choose Dr. Lake & Associates?

Our staff works collaboratively at Dr. Lake & Associates. Our goal is to bring services that enhance your living and we want you to be part of the therapeutic process. As a group of professionals, we use a peer-consultation model to provide our community with the best possible services. We are a multidisciplinary group of professionals, offering services specialties from the fields of developmental psychology, clinical psychology, social work, motivation, and education. We offer testing, therapy, consultation/coaching, and trainings. Our clinicians are highly experienced and have worked in clinical, community, and educational environments. We regularly attend trainings to helps us stay current with research relevant to our practices.

The main goal of this initial consultation is to help you make an informed decision about psychological services and to help you find a well-trained provider who meets the needs you are in search of, even if that means a referral out to another clinician outside our practice.

When and where are Dr. Lake’s services provided?

We are physically located in Riverview, FL and in Tampa, FL. However, some of our clinicians provide services in NY and other states via telehealth. Online services are not recommended for all cases and inquiries will be assessed to determine the appropriateness of this service. We do have evening and weekend appointments.

Does Dr. Lake & Associates accept and bill insurance?

We accept and directly bill the Gardiner Scholarship now known as the Family Empowerment Scholarship (FES).

We accept HSO funds through The Children's Board.

 

We are not in-network with any other medical insurance plans and may be considered an out-of-network provider for all other carriers but we can bill for you! Our office is also able to provide you an invoice that may be submitted to insurance for reimbursement. Our fees may also be considered under your flexible spending (FSA) or health savings account (HSA). Families may wish to check with their insurance provider and employer for more information. It is also recommended to obtain pre-approval for out-of-network benefits and get clear feedback about deductibles and reimbursement rates prior to receiving services with us.

Do you prescribe medication?

We do not prescribe medication. We are a group of psychologists and mental health therapists that offer testing and psychotherapy. We work to help you process events, modify behavior, enhance insight, increase coping, and gain any other strategies to deal with challenges and help you grow. We do believe that medication can be helpful and is an important part of the treatment process for some clients who struggle with more severe conditions. We refer to local psychiatrists for more severe psychological presentations.

What are your private pay fees?

Individual/Family: $90-$250

Group Counseling: according to program

Parent Coaching/Behavior Management: $90-$250

Gifted Evaluations: $350/$550 (full payment required to secure appointment)

Other Psychological Assessments: Varies; call for a free consult and quote (50% fee non-refundable deposit required to secure appointment)
