My Word: Strengthen

I am Le’Tanya Stone, but call me Le’y! I'm an experienced therapist who has worked in community mental health for over 5 years. For me, working in mental health is not just a job choice but a calling!

I am blessed to have the opportunity to work with individuals and their families, helping to strengthen individuals in their emotional well-being and developing self-awareness. I have extensive experience in co-occurring disorders related to Substance Abuse & Trauma.  Over the years, I gained clinical skills to educate and help parents understand best practices in behavioral approaches and accommodate their children's needs effectively.

Growing up in a community that significantly lack access to mental health awareness and treatment, this became extremely important to me. I want to bridge the gap for ethnic minorities in accessing mental health. Mental health should be accessible in all communities and it is a joy to help others grow, strengthen, and fulfill their personal goals. To achieve this goal I provide knowledge and and support, while making the process unique to each client and presenting issue.

I am trained in several therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), as well as Christian Counseling. I'm also a neurodivergent informed and trauma informed therapist and I practice from a Person Centered Approach, which means I do not judge and accept you as a person no matter where you are with your challenges. It is my goal to meet my clients where they are, with realistic goal that set them up for success. I provide a therapeutic atmosphere that is comfortable and dedicated to them. I am truly motivated to see you achieve wellness and success as this contributes to how I see my professional success! I am an agent of change!

I graduated from Springfield College, where I majored in Human Services and Substance abuse and then went on to specialize in mental health counseling. I have dedicated my life to mental health!

Le'y enjoys reading, writing poetry, watching movies, and spending time with my family and friends.

Although she has many years of experience in counseling, she is just formally pursuing licensure as a Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern and is being supervised by Monica Lake, PsyD, NCSP, QS.
