Hi, I'm Julia!

As a student therapist, I am committed to continually growing my skills and learning from each client I have the privilege to work with. I aim to create authentic, compassionate, and empowering therapeutic relationships where clients feel heard and supported. I believe therapy should be a collaborative and personalized experience tailored to each person’s needs. As someone hard of hearing and adopted, I deeply understand the importance of identity, resilience, and feeling honestly heard—values that shape my work with clients. I have a passion for working with children, adolescents, emerging adults, and families navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, learning disabilities, emotional regulation challenges, life transitions, and developmental concerns. My approach is practical, adaptable, and holistic, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Person-Centered Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy. I ensure that each session aligns with my client’s values, preferences, and goals while making therapy approachable and accessible.

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Florida Southern College and am pursuing a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Nova Southeastern University. Alongside my studies, I have been learning American Sign Language (ASL), both independently and through formal coursework, intending to provide accessible and inclusive counseling services for the Deaf and hard-of-hearing community. Every journey is different, and I enjoy helping clients achieve their goals and navigate life’s challenges.
