My name is Aysia Smith, and I am a Clinical Psychology doctoral student. I have worked with Dr. Lake and Associates through assessment for individuals across the lifespan. I have been honored for the opportunity to work with the diverse team of mental health professionals at Dr. Lake & Associates under the supervision of Dr. Monica Lake and the program supervisors at the Florida School of Professional Psychology (FSPP).
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of South Florida, I then earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from FSPP, and I am currently pursuing my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (PsyD) at the Florida School of Professional Psychology (FSPP) at National Louis University.
My clinical experience has been shaped by my experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families among diverse groups. I am passionate about working with neurodivergence, autism spectrum disorder, emotional-behavioral disorders, learning disabilities, giftedness, intellectual disabilities, and trauma-related concerns. This experience has strengthened my commitment to working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and has shaped my interest in psychological assessment and evaluation.
I have received extensive training in assessments, and I value the role of assessments in supporting individuals to understand their unique challenges and functioning. My goal is to provide accurate, compassionate, and culturally responsive evaluations that help guide effective support and intervention.
