Hi, I'm Belinda,
I am an emerging professional in the field of School Psychology, passionate about supporting students, families, and educators through evidence-based practices and collaborative problem-solving. My work focuses on helping children reach their full academic, behavioral, and social-emotional potential while partnering with teachers and parents to create supportive learning environments.
Before transitioning into psychology, I spent several years working in financial aid within higher education. That experience strengthened my commitment to helping individuals navigate educational systems and access opportunities for growth. It also inspired my transition into school psychology, where I can more directly support students and families during critical stages of development.
I earned my bachelor’s degree in psychology from Florida A&M University and a master’s degree in general psychology from American Public University System. I also hold a master certification in Applied Behavior Analysis, which allows me to apply behavioral science to support positive behavior and learning outcomes. I am currently pursuing my doctoral degree in school psychology at Capella University, where my training focuses on data-driven decision making, consultation, and student-centered interventions.
Colleagues and students often describe me as thoughtful, collaborative, and solutions-focused. I value building trusting relationships and believe meaningful change happens when families, educators, and professionals work together. I enjoy analyzing data to guide interventions, mentoring others, and contributing to environments where students feel supported and empowered.
