Greetings!

 

I'm Kaysey, a dedicated psychometrician and school psychologist. I provide testing and therapy. My expertise lies in empowering youth to be the best they can be.

My academic journey started with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from the University of Central Florida, followed by a fulfilling experience teaching first grade in Polk County. Seeking further knowledge, I pursued graduate studies at Teachers College, Columbia University, earning Master of Arts in Educational Psychology and Master of Education in Applied Developmental and Learning Psychology. With internships in Boston Public Schools and extensive experience across three states, I bring a unique perspective to supporting the holistic development of every child.

In my role as a school psychologist, my focus centers on advocating for the entire child, offering valuable strategies to students, educators, and families to embrace diversity and enhance academic performance. I'm deeply passionate about helping children navigate challenges, recognize their strengths, and cultivate resilience. During assessments, I employ tailored strategies to ensure accurate representation of each examinee's abilities.

Each evaluation I conduct yields a comprehensive profile, addressing specific academic, behavioral, and social-emotional concerns of the client. I leverage this information to devise strategies that enhance their functioning and overall quality of life. In counseling sessions, I guide clients in improving self-regulation, confidence, self-love, communication, social skills, and their ability to navigate complex emotions, including grief.

Outside of my professional endeavors, I find joy in the simple pleasures of life—cuddling with my dachshund, Marty McFly, basking in the sun at the beach or pool, indulging in suspense novels, and creating beautiful jewelry.
